Mentoring Undergraduate Researchers

Wednesday, November 20, 2013, from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Description

Undergraduate research has rich potential in the humanities and social sciences, and there are LUROP fellowships offering students the opportunity in these disciplines to engage in research, such as the Provost Fellowship. This lunch discussion is designed to bring together faculty from the humanities and social sciences to discuss mentoring undergraduate researchers in their disciplines. Mentored undergraduate research offers an excellent opportunity for teaching and learning, but can be a challenge in departments that do not rely on lab-based research.
